Human Resources Generalist                      
         • Plan, direct, and coordinate human resources activities for four manufacturing facilities in the Midwest comprised of over 240 employees.
         • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering agreements and helping resolve work-related problems.
         • Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
         • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, terminating employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
         • Plan and conduct new hire orientations to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
         • Conduct I-9 verifications for all new-hires.
         • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
         • Manage Avalon’s booth/table at various career fairs throughout the year in Ohio, Wisconsin, and Illinois (Foundry Educational Foundation College Industry Conference).
         • Plan, organize, direct, control/coordinate the personnel, training, and labor activities of the organization.
         • Evaluate and administer compensation, benefits, performance management systems, and safety programs.
         • Manage, prepare, and run payroll (using Paychex) on a bi-weekly basis for Avalon’s four manufacturing facilities.
         • Make any and all necessary changes/updates to employee information in Paychex and all of our other benefit websites and systems.
         • Responsible for ISO 9001 requirements and compliance as it pertains to our Human Resources department.
